Building Bridges for Integrated Communities
At Ekhaya Empowerment, we are a community-driven organization dedicated to breaking the cycle of poverty and inequality among women and children from underserved and marginalized communities. Established in 2019 by Miki Shika, our mission is to empower individuals by providing access to education, resources, and opportunities for growth.
The word Ekhaya, meaning “home” in Zulu, embodies our belief that everyone deserves a place where they feel supported and valued. Our centre serves as a welcoming space where people from diverse backgrounds can come together, share experiences, and build a brighter future.
Through our work, we aim to create a more inclusive society, where everyone, regardless of their background, can access the tools and services they need to thrive. Our focus on Education, Empowerment, and Integration allows us to provide long-lasting solutions that foster personal and community growth.
